The Xiaomi 17 Max has been launched, marking the fifth model in the company's Xiaomi 17 lineup. This Max model features the same octa-core Snapdragon 8-series chipset as other smartphones in the lineup. It also features a Leica-tuned triple rear camera system. Xiaomi 17 Max Specifications
The dual-SIM phone features a 6.9-inch 1.5K (1,200×2,608 pixels) AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3500 nits of peak brightness, HDR Vivid, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, and DragonCrystal 3.0 protection. The company claims the phone is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.
The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 octa-core chipset built on a 3nm process, clocked at 4.6GHz. A 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is provided for security.
The camera setup includes a Leica-tuned triple rear camera unit, featuring a 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS. There's also a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. There's a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The latest Xiaomi smartphone is priced at CNY 4,799 (approximately Rs. 68,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB variant, CNY 5,099 (approximately Rs. 72,000) for the 16GB RAM and 256GB variant, and CNY 5,399 (approximately Rs. 76,000) for the 12GB RAM and 512GB variant.
The top variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 5,799 (approximately Rs. 82,000). If launched in India, this phone could compete with models like the iPhone 17 and Samsung S25 Plus at this price range.
